Gwen lane gets much cleaner when you stack Q on the wave and use E during the snip so the center tracks their retreat, because a lot of her early damage disappears when you dash first and cut where they used to be
Treat Needlework as a way to keep someone stuck in Gwen’s space, not just as a finisher—R1 slow into contact time is what lets later needles, mist, and the center of Q pile up on the same target
An ugly first ten minutes is often still a Gwen game, since her results climb hard in longer games and even clearly behind-at-10 starts recover a lot by 35+ if you keep collecting side-wave gold instead of panic-forcing fights
Use W when the enemy is finally committing the part of the trade that would make it stick. In lane, that usually means you already have Q stacked, you have stepped up enough to make them answer, and now you drop mist as their ranged spell, empowered hit, or return burst is coming out. In fights, do not spend it just to start walking forward. Let R1 or your first contact create the tether, then place W once the outside damage or peel is actually arriving. If you cast it too early, they can wait it out; if you cast it on the real answer, the whole exchange starts belonging to you.
Gwen's attacks deal bonus magic damage based on the targets health. She heals for a portion of the damage dealt to champions by this effect.
Gwen snips her scissors in a cone up to 6 times dealing magic damage. Gwen deals true damage to units in the center and applies her passive to them on each snip.
Gwen summons mist that protects her from enemies outside of it. She can only be targeted by enemies who enter the mist.
Gwen dashes a short distance then gains Attack Speed, attack range, and magic damage On-Hit for a few seconds. If she hits an enemy during that time, this Ability's cooldown is partially refunded.
Gwen hurls a needle that slows enemies hit, deals magic damage, and applies A Thousand Cuts to champions hit. This ability can be cast up to two more times, with each cast throwing additional needles and dealing more damage.
